Best Practices in Service Learing

The Russ College of Engineering and Technology, the Center for Teaching Excellence, and the Center for Community Service present "Best Practices in Service Learning," a workshop for faculty sponsored by the Ohio University Best Practices Grants and the 1804 Fund.

Guest speaker:

Dr. William Oakes, PE, Associate Professor of Engineering Education, Co-Director of the EPICS Program at Purdue University, the most successful engineering service learning program in the nation.

Follow-up Event

A follow-up event, supported by the 1804 fund, will take place during the winter break. Faculty members who are interested in implementing service learning in their courses can learn more and receive $500 stipends to support their service learning efforts.
